POCONO LAKE – Rep. Jack Rader (R-Monroe) will offer a Small Games of Chance Seminar on Wednesday, Aug. 9, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 413 in Pocono Lake.

This event is designed to update constituents on the changes to the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act, which improved fundraising abilities for nonprofit associations, charitable organizations and other civic groups through increased limits for prize payouts.

Pennsylvania State Enforcement Supervisor Todd Merlina will provide useful information for nonprofits, sports leagues, churches and others regarding our state’s small games of chance laws.

“I am pleased to once again offer this informational seminar,” said Rader. “We have dozens of organizations in the 176th District that could benefit from instruction and explanation of Pennsylvania’s small games of chance laws.”

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and registration is required due to limited seating. Those planning to attend should RSVP to Rader’s office at (570) 643-7683 or visit
