About Jack 
Jack Rader Jr. was elected in 2014 to represent Monroe County’s 176th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He is now serving in his second term.

Rader will serve on the following House committees for the 2017-18 legislative session: Children and Youth, Labor and Industry, Local Government, and Tourism and Recreational Development.

Prior to his election, Rader served 28 years on the Jackson Township Board of Supervisors in Monroe County, including 20 years as chairman. In addition, he served as chairman of the Pocono-Jackson Water Authority, vice president of the Monroe County Council of Government, chairman of the Hamilton/Jackson/Pocono Park and Open Space Commission, and vice chairman of the Chestnuthill/Jackson/Eldred/Ross/Polk Regional Planning Board. Rader is also a past president of the Monroe County Township Officials’ Board.

Rader’s business background includes three decades as the manager and vice president of Mountain Springs Resort, located in Reeders. The company has been owned by Rader’s family for more than a half-century.

Rader is a graduate of Pocono Mountain High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Susquehanna University.

His legislative priorities include job creation and economic growth in addition to addressing the school property tax issue.

Rader lives in Reeders with his wife, Susan. They are proud parents of four children and three grandchildren.
