Rader Announces $900,000 in Funding for Monroe County Projects

HARRISBURG –State funding totaling $900,000 for projects in Monroe County was awarded today, according to Rep. Jack Rader (R-Monroe).
The grant awards are as follows:
• Chestnuthill Township – $400,000 to implement a comprehensive stormwater management system along Woods Crossing.
• Polk Township – $228,154 for the purchase of a wheel loader for use in Polk Township.
• Tunkhannock Township – $271,846 for upgrades to the Tunkhannock Township Park.
“I want to express my appreciation to our local officials for recognizing these needs within our community,” said Rader. “These projects will be important for making improvements in the 176th District. This will allow the townships to complete enhancements without impacting taxes charged to their local residents.”
