Rader Secures School Safety, Mental Health Grants for the 176th District

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Jack Rader (R-Monroe) today announced schools across the 176th Legislative District have been awarded more than $800,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s (PCCD) School Safety and Security Committee (SSC).

“Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students is a top priority, and these grants will play a crucial role in strengthening the mental health and security resources in our local schools. I’m glad to see this funding coming back to our communities and helping our schools create safer, stronger learning environments,” said Rader.

School districts in the 176th District received the following school safety and mental health grants:

  • Monroe Career and Technical Institute- $70,000.
  • Pleasant Valley School District- $281,920.
  • Pocono Mountain School District- $458,638.

The PCCD’s School Safety and Security Committee awards grants to schools and organizations across Pennsylvania to improve safety measures and provide essential mental health services for students and staff.
